Jennifer Garner is a West Virginia native born in Houston on 17 April 1972. The father of Jennifer Garner, William John Garner, was a chemical engineer at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann was a teacher at the local college. She graduated with a chemical engineering degree to follow her father. In order to pursue her dream of acting, she decided to move in New York and try her acting career in the world of acting in Hollywood. She was employed at a restaurant while appearing in Broadway shows. On the television series "Felicity," she had an appearance in a brief scene. (It was on this show that she met their husband Scott Foley. Garner made her debut in Alias which is an action-thriller. Her first major performance was in the highly praised love story 13 Going on 30. The film featured her as a teenager trapped inside a 30plus year old's body. Garner began his role as an ambassador for Save the Children U.S.A. in the year 2009. In addition to the promotion of early education, literacy and nutrition at the at the national level, his role involves promoting national literacy. Garner is a board member as a member of the board since 2014, is an advocate of early education.
