She crossed the border between the United States and Mexico for nearly 18 years to be able to go to school. The beginning of her education was spent within San Diego, and the other half in Tijuana. Andrea did lie to her parents when she moved from Los Angeles and told them that she was headed to USC in order to allow her to use their car. Andrea also found her own space through Craigslist for $440 a month. She also was offered a position at Zara at the Grove in the same place she was employed for one and half years.
