Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. From a very young age, both her dental surgeon parents and her teacher mother supported Audrey's love of drama and theater. The passion for theater was the one that overshadowed her initial wish to become a primatologist. The rise of her as an actor in the young age was swift and marked by her early successes. Prior to beginning the acting profession, Tautou was a participant in Jeunes Premiers an French television show that sought to find talent sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. The program also awarded her the title of the title of Best Young Actress for during the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Although she studied at the Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou has distanced herself from this upbringing, stating that she is not officially Catholic. Alongside her acting career, Tautou took up modeling and was the spokesperson of L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. In addition to her acting work, she has an interest in photography. The actress recently showed some photos at the Arles Film Festival under the name Superficial. The majority of her photographs concern famous people and celebrities. They also feature a collection of self portraits in addition. Audrey Tautou's debut performance, in the role of Amelie Poulain's leading actor in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie poulain, earned her fame to the world. Amelie has been an international box office success and recognized at many awards events around the globe. It is the most successful French language film to be released in the US. The film's success led Tautou to a variety of roles, ranging from British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
